In the Open Way sessions (1st & 3rd Wednesdays in Llanrhian Church Hall), we are currently looking at the Gospel of Thomas, a rediscovered, early collection of the sayings of Jesus that presents a radical view of his teachings. Each time we are taking one of the sayings as a theme and building the whole session around it with chant, meditation, movement and reflection. Anyone is welcome to join us. INTRODUCTION TO CENTERING PRAYER

Saturday 28 January 10 – 4 in St Mary’s Hall, Fishguard

This day will cover the basics of the method of Contemplative Prayer known as ‘Centering Prayer’.
From a classical Christian perspective, contemplation is thought of as “the narrow way that leads to life”—one of simplicity, solitude, silence, and the willingness to surrender to the presence and action of God within. This day will introduce the theory and practice, with follow-on sessions to consolidate it for those who would like to. Led by Don & Jayne MacGregor and Elizabeth Daniels.

Happy 2012 to all on Common Ground! I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you the most blissful and joyous 2012. I was going to us my own words, but then received a greeting from www.omna.org, which seemed very appropriate, so I’ve abbreviated it:

“May each day be blessed with loving experiences and new activations of love from within your being. May each moment allow you to experience a greater unity with the Creator. Much support and love is flowing from all our friends on the spiritual planes to every soul upon the Earth. This is such a special moment which we are entering into on the Earth, let us all savour the energies and give thanks for being present upon the Earth at this sacred time of transition. Let us take time to honour the Creator who brings to us the essence of love. Let us honour our own energy and presence as well as the love which will activate from within our being. May all fears be banished as we step forward on to a true path of love.”
